DOCX to PageMaker-ready

The other direction. A customer’s Unicode Word file turned back into Anu bytes — as a .txt to Place straight into a layout already set in that font, instead of retyping it.

How to use?

Leave it on detect if you are not sure. The ones marked “not yet” will tell you so rather than converting badly.

Kept: Text in the font’s own encoding, tabs, and English kept in an ordinary face.

Not kept: Tab stop positions, tables as tables, images and charts. A table arrives as its text with the tabs between the cells; the images in your document are not carried over.

You get a zip: place text.rtf in PageMaker (File › Place) — it arrives already set in the right font, and any English in your document stays in an ordinary face. text.txt needs the font applied by hand and paints English as the script; text.docx is a last resort, because a paste drops about one character in ten.
