What this tool does not do yet
- Master-page items, such as running heads and page numbers, are not carried over.
- Colour, rotated items and text wrapped around a picture are not carried over.
- Line breaks: in the Word file most lines break where PageMaker broke them, and some take a word more or less. The PDF keeps every line.
Files up to 25 MB. Your file and the result are deleted within 4 hours. No sign-up.
Common problems
The page says no table reads the font.
The publication is typed in a font we have no table for yet. The box above lists the fonts that convert.
The page asks me to choose the script.
The file is too short for the font to be recognised. Choose the script under Which script is this document in? and convert again.
Page numbers and running heads are missing.
Items on PageMaker’s master pages are not carried over yet. Add them again in Word.
A line breaks at a different word than in PageMaker.
Word wraps each paragraph itself in a Unicode font. Most lines break where PageMaker broke them; the PDF keeps every line exactly.
